As a graphic designer, it feels great to find my customers so convinced about the power of a logo and what benefits it can earn them. However, I would say it is not just enough getting a simple logo designed for the sake of just having it. Now its time to make your logo design more exceptional and I am sure other designers will agree with me:)

Yes, I want you all to ask your designers make your logo look more conceptual and clever using the graphic designing tricks. As it is said, a logo should not be a plain looking symbol…it should reflect you and your company’s personality.

The final result of a cleverly designed logo often appears to be very simple making it difficult for the customers to accept the high cost of their no-frills logo.

Therefore, I have compiled some famous logos here which will help you notice that a meaningful logo can leave an eternal impression on the customers.

Let me explain…Toblerone originated in Bern, Switzerland - A city whose name is rumored to mean, “City of bears”. When you look at it again you will find a bear in the logo.



9. What better logo can be used to symbolize a marriage with two mirrored “R” in the middle. No frills, no shadows, still so powerful and meaningful.



10. Although it is quiet evident but still I liked the concept a lot. Two musical notes are bent in a way to make a heart and and headphns. The softness of this logo expresses “Love for Music“


11. The complexity of this logo is its beauty. It is a business and IT consulting company based in the UK and the logo is a combination of numeric and alphabets to explain the word “intricate”.



12. You would say you have seen it thousand times but just to make you notice an arrow formed between the letters “E” and “X” conveying speed, direction and reliability of this amazing courier service.


13. Designer - Sean Farrell Logo Design: When you take off a piece of the “v” in the word “review” it forms a check mark (for review). Simply amazing!!

Designed with the comfort level and problems of disabled people, the Tank Chair Mk II is a powerful wheelchair ready to roll in all kinds of weather and terrains. It was unveiled at CES 2008 in Las Vegas this week.

“This material used to design this rough-and-tough chair includes a one-piece steel chassis with the trails made from ruggedized rubber and lightweight aluminum struts,” Elite Choice wrote.

“Claiming to run at a speed of 5 mph, the Tank Chair Mk II has 24V, 2HP, 127RPM variable speed motor that extracts its juice from four Optima Deep Cycle batteries. Its inventor asserts that the chair can even sideline a golf cart. This is a clear indication that now physically challenged people don’t have to wait or think twice before going anywhere. It can be used over snow and during rainy season as well.”

It will be available by the end of January and is priced at $15,000.

What type of memory does your heart hold? Philips introduced its 1GB bejeweled, heart-shaped USB drives at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week, and they made quite an impression.

mPhase technology new patent-pending Smart Nanobattery can be dormant and harmless in non-use, provide energy when activated and then even render itself harmless when it has no more power to give. That’s at least what mPhase if promising in its recent announcement. According to a brief press release, the nano batteries--still in prototype phase--uses “various chemicals as electrolytes residing on top of nano structures in a dormant state and when triggered, cause an electrochemical reaction to produce a measurable voltage and current under a load.” Apparently this chemical reaction then knows enough to reserve some cells that can “create the neutralizing chemical reaction at the end of life.”

This year, several universities are testing different tech strategies that include giving free iPods and iPhones to incoming freshman students.

The Universities can use the technology to create a better experience, track students and send messages. Students could also record class lectures and become more connected with technology.

Four institutions have announced the plan already, including: the University of Maryland, Abilene Christian, Oklahoma Christian University and Freed-Hardeman.

“We think this is the way the future is going to work,” said Kyle Dickson, co-director of research and the mobile learning initiative at Abilene Christian University in Texas, which has bought more than 600 iPhones and 300 iPods for students entering this fall. Although plenty of students take their laptops to class, they don’t take them everywhere and would prefer something lighter. Abilene Christian settled on the devices after surveying students and finding that they did not like hauling around laptops, but that most always carried a cellular phone, Dr. Dickson said. By 2000, more than 177 million people had been diagnosed with diabetes world wide; by 2025, it could be up to 300 million if nothing is done.

There are 23.6 million people living with diabetes in the United States alone, a terrifying 8% of the American population. From 2005 to 2007, the rate of diabetes in the U.S. went up by 13.5%.

Only 10% of diabetes cases are type 1.
